The Bannerghatta National Park has a Butterfly Park. It is the abode of a lot of species of butteflies. It was opened in the month of November 2006.The Butterfly Park is spread over 7.5 acres of land. It comprises of a butterfly conservatory, museum and an audio-visual room. The butterfly conservatory has a polycarbonate roof and is a 10,000 sq ft. circular enclosure, inside which the living environment has been carefully designed to support over 20 species of butterflies. The environment has a tropical setting — complete with the humid climate, an artificial waterfall and host plants and shrubs that attract butterflies.
The conservatory leads to the second and third domes, which have a museum that exhibits different species of butterflies and their life history and lastly a media room showing video on butterflies. The domes are constructed very beautifully. Inside the park we can find some common birds also. So visit this park where you will have a cordial welcome by these colorfully winged creations of God. There is a child in each man and watching these butterflies will take you back to your childhood days.
The visiting time is from morning 10 am to 5pm in the evening.
The Park is open on all days except Tuesday
