Kuruva Dweep-Wayanad-Kerala

Kuruva Dweep is situated 45 kilometers from Kalpetta which is situated in Wayanad district.Kuruva Dweep is a group of 7 islands. It is spread over 950 acres of evergreen forest. It is situated on the tributaries of Kabini River which flows into the forest.First I took a walk inside the forest. The tourist can find unusually shaped trees on the way. There are lots of bamboos on either sides.Water is flowing on either sides. The Kuruva dweep is the abode of wide variety of flora and fauna. It is a really a nice walk through the forests away from the sound and noise of the city. We can cross from one island to other either on a raft or by walking through the water. Though the water is not so deep, the rocks are slippery. So we have to be careful when we cross the riverbed. After a to and fro sail through the raft, I resumed my walk through the forest. Ended my walk where there was a man made bamboo structure inside the Kuruva dweep.A nice picture spot and a rest spot .Moments spend there are close to my heart.
